Step into the fascinating and often overlooked world of fungi in our two-day watercolour workshop dedicated to symbiotic fungi, including lichens and parasitic species. Designed for complete beginners, hobby artists, and professional practitioners alike, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to deepen both your artistic skills and your understanding of nature’s quiet collaborators.

Fungi are extraordinary organisms — connectors, recyclers, and silent partners within ecosystems. In this workshop, we explore not only how to paint fungi, but why they matter. Guided by botanical artist and scientist Anna Voytsekhovich, participants will discover the ecology, morphology, and life strategies of Australian symbiotic fungi, learning how these remarkable organisms interact with plants, algae, and their environment. Expect fascinating stories, surprising facts, and a deeper appreciation for the invisible networks that sustain life.
