About the event

Textured Fungi – A Sculptural Workshop with Active Art

Step into a world of earthy textures and whimsical forms in Textured Fungi — a hands-on sculptural workshop where imagination sprouts and mushrooms come to life.

Join Ness at the beautiful Active Art Studio in Mogo for a creative afternoon exploring three-dimensional modelling paste. You’ll learn how to shape, build, and layer textured mediums to design your very own sculptural mushrooms on canvas. From delicate forest toadstools to bold, fantasy-inspired fungi, each piece becomes a tactile artwork full of depth and personality.

With gentle guidance to get you started, you’ll experiment with form, height, and surface texture before refining your piece with painterly details. The process is playful and forgiving — perfect for both beginners and experienced creatives looking to try something new.

No experience is needed. All ages and abilities are welcome (under 18s accompanied by an adult). Expect messy…
