About the event

Who says threatened species conservation can’t be fun(gi)?

There are 9 threatened species and a critically endangered ecological community of fungi found within and around Sydney. Come and have a yarn with ecologists from the NSW Government’s Saving our Species program! You will find them:

  • Friday 20 June 6pm-8pm at Alison Pouliot's launch of Fungi Feastival at Bermagui Community Centre. This is a ticketed event.

  • Saturday 21 June 7pm-8.30pm at the film “Fungi: The Web of Life” documentary at Narooma Kinema. This is a ticketed event.

  • Sunday 22 June 9am-1pm at Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens. Open to the public.4

Find out about fungi science and research and how it’s helping to inform the conservation of threatened waxcap fungi, with a focus on species belonging to the Hygrocybe and Camarophyllopsis genera. The NSW Government’s Saving our Species program is working to secure a future for our threatened species in the wild for the next…
