About the event
Terry Ross has been cultivating medicinal mushrooms and making mushroom extracts for six years. Terry is passionate about growing mushrooms sustainably and educating others about the medicinal properties of mushrooms. Terry’s business "AT Mushrooms", is based in Victoria and he produces liquid mushroom extracts and dried mushroom supplements.
Terry Ross of AT Mushrooms will discuss the following in his presentation:
· What are medicinal mushrooms? eg. Lion’s mane, Chaga, Reishi, Shiitake, Maitake, Cordyceps, Turkey Tail.
· Traditional uses of medicinal mushrooms through history and culture.
· The known compounds contained in Lion’s mane, Chaga, Reishi, Cordyceps and Maitake.
· Research papers on Maitake, Reishi, Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane.
· History of medicinal mushroom cultivation regarding China, to demystify.
There will be time for questions and a cup of Reishi tea.
