About the event
This year’s Fungi Feastival is proud to welcome internationally renowned scientists who are also featured speakers at the International Congress of Mycology 2026 being held later this year in Cairns. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from researchers shaping the global understanding of fungi and their role in our world.
Our speakers are:
Alison Bennett from USA who investigates the powerful partnerships between plants and microbes. Her work on the rhizosphere is transforming how we think about sustainable agriculture and food systems.
From Chile, Patricia Silva-Flores explores the extraordinary and often overlooked fungal diversity of South American ecosystems. Her work reveals a “hidden world” of species critical to forest health and biodiversity.

General Admission
This ticket includes entrance to all sessions on both days (Saturday and Sunday) and Mycology 101. This means that if you can't attend for a whole day, you can come to the sessions you miss the following day. One day will be held in Eurobodalla and one in Bega Valley.

This ticket provides entry to one session. If you decide want to attend more sessions, you will need to pay another $30 to upgrade your ticket.
