About the event
Step inside the Red Rattler Studio — a restored 1950 train carriage turned creative space — and explore a unique collection of fungi-inspired coastal and forest artworks. Artist Fiona Smith blends photography, digital illustration, and stained glass to capture the beauty of the South Coast. During the Fungi Feastival, Fiona will open her studio doors for visitors to view original art prints, stained glass pieces, and new work celebrating the role of fungi in our coastal ecosystems. Prints, cards, and gifts will be available for purchase. Known for her distinctive Vintage Coastal Illustration style, Fiona transforms her own photography into richly layered digital artworks that blend retro poster design with natural realism. For the festival, her collection will explore the beauty, diversity, and symbolism of fungi — from the luminous forms of mushrooms found in local bushland to the hidden networks that sustain our coastal forests.
