Join Jeremy Hegge, founder of Partial Veil, for a citizen science–focused fungi foray in the Bega Valley.
Jeremy is a respected field mycologist and educator dedicated to improving fungal literacy in Australia. Through Partial Veil, he trains communities in accurate observation, ethical field practice and data recording, helping everyday nature lovers contribute meaningfully to scientific knowledge.
This walk is not about edible mushrooms. Instead, it is about slowing down, looking closely and learning how to document fungi properly. You will understand the puzzle of mushroom identification and just how little we know about the incredible fungal diversity! Many local species do not yet have names and being involved in their documentation as a citizen scientist is an important and exciting aspect for Jeremy.
