About the event
Make a day trip, weekend or winter escape of it and explore fungi-inspired art right along the coast. Starting from the north in Bateman’s Bay, have a look at the botanical artist Anna Voytsekhovich’s work at the Bateman’s Bay Library. The level of detail she captures in her watercolours is amazing.
Continue south to Quantum Brewery in Moruya. Here you can see the fungi art created by over 10 artists including Kath Fries, Charli Rose Gerry, Belinda Piggott, Tika Robinson, Josie Cosgrove and Emma Anna Hancock. They use a wide range of media – from ceramic, painting and textiles.
Step inside the Red Rattler Studio — a restored 1950 train carriage turned creative space — and explore a unique collection of fungi-inspired coastal and forest artworks. Artist Fiona Smith blends photography, digital illustration, and stained glass to capture the beauty of the South Coast.
