Fungi Fun For The Whole Family

Children's art workshops

​

Join children’s educator Caitlin for a play based, creative enquiry into the whimsical world of fungi! Children will use clay and natural materials to create their own old growth forest ecosystem, brimming with colourful fungi and creatures!

​

These workshops will be held in Bermagui on 5 and 19 July. The cost is $25 for one child and $20 for every additional sibling,

About

Our tour starts at Broadwater and from here we paddle to the stunning Pambula River Mouth with vibrant turquoise water and beautiful natural surroundings. No kayaking experience needed as our expert kayak guide will show you how! Paddle up the river as our guide points out the fungi, wildlife and natural features of Beowa National Park.

Stop along the way to stretch your legs, have a swim and delicious morning tea. Special dietary requirements can be catered for upon request, just let us know at time of booking

Fungi Foray with Marita Smith

Join local fungi enthusiast Marita Smith for a walk to learn about the fantastic world of fungi and the basics of mushroom identification. Learn about the diversity and ecology of fungi growing on the NSW south coast, from hardy polypores to groovy ghost fungi. 

​

This fungi foray is at Surf Beach on 12 July 10 - 11 am. Cost: $25 per adult, $10 per child (5-16 years). Children under 16 years must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
